Chicken Feet Adobo
Whenever we go to the market, I always ask Claire what she wants Mommy to get and to cook for her, without fail, she always requests for "Chicken Feet". This dish is her all time favorite and will gladly have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. She eats it with rice but would sometimes get her hands dirty and grab it with her fingers and eat away.
Ingredients:
2 kg chicken feet
1/4 kg Atay-Balunbalunan (chicken gizzard and liver)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 head of garlic, minced
6 pcs. ripe tomatoes. sliced into small pieces
2 pinches of ground black pepper
2 pcs. Knorr Beef cubes
1/4 cup patis (fish sauce)
3/4 cup toyo (soy sauce)
1/3 cup brown sugar
3 cups water
2 cups vinegar (suka)
1/2 cup atsuete in water
1 bay leaf
Cooking Steps:
Feel free to adjust the amount of patis, suka, toyo and sugar according to your taste. Enjoy!

Cooking Steps:
In a pot, saute gralic and onion until fragrant. Add in tomatoes and cook until it becomes mushy. Add in the chicken feet and mix well. Add the patis, soy sauce, sugar, pepper and beef cubes. Add the chicken gizzard and liver. Mix it well making sure everything is well coated. Add water and the atsuete in water. Bring to a boil then simmer until chicken feet softens a little. Add in the 2 cups of vinegar, let it boil, then bring down to a simmer. Cook until chicken feet is very tender. Sprinkle with Chilli Flakes- optional. :)
Feel free to adjust the amount of patis, suka, toyo and sugar according to your taste. Enjoy!
