Pan-Fried Bangus (Milk Fish)
This is a basic fried Bangus recipe that is used in other
recipes such as “Bangus in Labong”. It is so simple but
so delicious. It showcases the delicate flavor of milkfish without overpowering
it with complicated ingredients. Best eaten with hot steamed rice, paired with
atchara and tomatoes with salted eggs.
Ingredients:
1 whole Bangus (big), clean Bangus, remove scales and cut diagonally
into 6 pieces
Rock Salt
Ground Black Pepper
Cornstarch or Crispy Fry Breading Mix
Cooking Instruction:
1. Season Bangus pieces with salt and pepper and
place in the fridge for 1 hour or overnight if you have extra time.
2. Dredge bangus pieces in cornstarch or Crispy Fry
Breading Mix.
3. Heat oil in a pan and fry bangus until golden
brown.
4. Serve immediately with steamed hot rice,
tomatoes with salted egg and atchara.
